Privacy Statement

Dance House Helsinki is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. By disclosing their contact details, the customer accepts the terms and conditions of this privacy statement. This privacy statement describes what kind of customer data is collected, what their purposes of use are and how can customers control their data.

2. What customer data may be collected?

Data disclosed by the customer

– contact details, such as name, address, telephone number and email address
– demographic data, such as age, gender, title or profession and native language
– profiling and interest data provided by the user
– data disclosed in surveys and research
– permissions and consents

Data related to customer relationship and the use of the service

– data about visiting and using the services
– other data collected with the user’s consent
– other data deduced from the use of the service and/or disclosed by the customer, such as interests

3. For what purposes can the collected data be used?

Providing and developing services

We can use the collected data to provide, personalise and develop services and their user experience.

Targeting sales

We can use the collected data to target different products, services and offers that may possibly be of interest to the customer using different communications channels.

Targeted digital advertising

We show the customer advertising they are likely to be interested in.

For instance, offers may be targeted at the user based on their customer history.

4. Primary data sources

Customer-related data is primarily collected directly from the customer during subscription and registration, during the purchase and use of services, as part of customer service and otherwise directly from the customer. Customer-related data is also generated in the information systems in connection with the use of the website and digital communication channels.

5. How is the collected data stored?

The register does not contain any manual data.

The collected data is stored in a database protected with measures such as firewalls, encryption techniques and limited access control and user rights. Access to the register is granted only to those persons employed by the controller and other specified persons who need the data to perform their tasks. These persons have been provided with usernames and passwords.

The collected data is stored for as long as is necessary according to valid legislation and/or until the data subject withdraws from the register of their own accord.

6. Regular disclosure and transfer of data outside the EU and the EEA

The data contained in the register may be disclosed to third parties in the manner permitted and required by the personal data legislation valid at the time.

Personal data may be transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area pursuant to Section 22 – Section 23 of the Personal Data Act, for example, when required for the technical implementation of services or communication. If data is transferred outside the EU or the EEA, we will ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data, including by agreeing on matters related to the confidentiality and processing of personal data in compliance with data protection legislation.

7. Rights of the data subject

Right of inspection

The customer has the right to inspect the personal data stored about them and to ask for the rectification or erasure of erroneous data.

Forbidding electronic direct marketing

The customer can forbid electronic direct marketing by contacting the controller or by cancelling their subscriptions.
