Helsinki Music Week (HMW) is dedicated to contemporary expressions of sound.
The week reimagines the traditional event format by weaving music into Helsinki. The program unfolds across historical landmarks, cutting-edge performance spaces, galleries, and bars throughout the capital, bringing together some of the most exciting international and Nordic artists of the moment.

Helsinki Music Week
Helsinki Music Week is an openly sourced platform and city-wide program for artists and audiences who shape the most forward currents of sound today.
Its inaugural 2025 edition introduced a decentralised model: concerts staged across historical landmarks like the Temppeliaukio Church, arts & culture institutions and unconventional nightlife venues; a talk program featuring leading writers, curators, and practitioners; and live performances by pioneering international and Nordic artists including Sega Bodega, Erika de Casier, EsDeeKid and others at pivotal moments in their trajectory.
The week operates across genres, subcultures, and disciplines, connecting Helsinki's local energy with a global network of luminaries in music and beyond. Its focus is on creating conditions – curatorial, architectural, and social – that enable new work, new encounters, and new forms of listening to emerge.
In May 2026, Helsinki Music Week presents its second edition with a line-up of some of the most exciting artists of the moment, both international and Nordic. Throughout the week, concerts, club nights, panel talks, and site-specific works are presented in parallel, transforming significant cultural sites and music venues across the Finnish capital into a shared interface for sound, dialogue, and collective experiences.
