Introduction
Elia Lombardini’s Antifonia:Turnsong is a new site specific live set for two Pa:s with its Helsinki premiere at Pannuhalli.
The concert expands upon Lombardini’s aweinspiring amplified violin performances. Playing with antiphonal music, suspended organ-like notes in the air, and the manipulation of the venue's natural reverb, Antifonia:Turnsong plays the space that it is in. Elia will be performing alone with a new custom violin-and-electronics system.
Elia Lombardini is renowned both as a performer and a creator. Spanning from composition work for contemporary dance at Zodiak to performing and arranging on Vain Elämää, Elia is a sought after player and one of the most interesting violinists in Finland.
