Choreographer Harald Beharie will give a workshop for dance professionals, as a part of the Side Step 2026 festival.
Norwegian/Jamaican performer and choreographer Harald Beharie visits Helsinki and Side Step Festival with his latest dance performance Sweet Spot and opens the floor to professionals who want to join their creative universe.
Their choreographies often arise in the tension between the everyday and the extreme, the banal and the sacred, and play with transformation as a continuous principle, both for the body and the spaces it moves through. Don’t miss out on this unique chance!
The workshop is open for dance professionals and experienced non-professionals.

Harald Beharie: Sweet Spot
Sweet Spot is a tempting and seductive hellmouth filled with mischief and tender allure, a hellish pit dancing and kneading itself back and forth between intertwining epochs. Dwelling in the abyss, Sweet Spot conjures a distorted dance macabre in a hypnotic landscape gathering six ecstatic figures who sing, collapse and syncopate around each other.
