New board for Dance House Helsinki Association

Helsinki Dance House Association's Annual General Meeting has elected a new board for the 2020–2021 term. The new Chairperson is Tuuli Kousa, Chief Communications and Corporate Responsibility Officer at OP Financial Group, and the new board members are Roza Ahmad, Sara Hirn, Maija Karhunen, Sibiry Konate, Leena Mickwitz, Kirsi Monni and Risto Ruohonen. Leena Liusvaara and Hanna Rosendahl stay on as members of the board.

Helsinki Dance House Association's Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday, 9 June 2020.

The association decided to increase the number of board members from seven to nine.
Tuuli Kousa, who was elected Chairperson of the association's board, is the Chief Communications
and Corporate Responsibility Officer at OP Financial Group. She has held various executive
positions in OP Financial Group's communications since 2015, and her current position from 2018.
Tuuli Kousa was a member of Helsinki Dance House Association's board in 2011–2014. She has
also been involved in Helsinki municipal politics as City Councillor 2009–2019, and Chair of the
City Council for the last two years of the term.


For the 2020–2021 term, the following members were elected to the association's board: Roza
Ahmad, dancer and choreographer; Sara Hirn, cultural production professional, expert in dance and
creative producer for the URB 20 festival; Maija Karhunen, performer and writer active in the fields
of dance, theatre and performing arts, project coordinator of the Matkalla - On the go! project of the
Culture for All service; Sibiry Konaté, dance artist; Leena Liusvaara, President of the Finnish
Dance Sport Federation and Principal of Ressu Comprehensive School; Leena Mickwitz, former
Senior Adviser, City of Helsinki; Kirsi Monni, Professor in Choreography at the Theatre Academy
of the University of the Arts Helsinki; Hanna Rosendahl, Executive Director of the Tampere
Theatre Festival and member of the Arts Council; and Risto Ruohonen, Director General, Finnish
National Gallery.
