We at Dance House Helsinki want to consider the environment in all our activities – not forgetting social responsibility.
Responsibility, Step by Step
We are an open and safe meeting place for everyone
Our programme features a wide range of dance in all its forms. We welcome everyone to Dance House Helsinki, regardless of age, education, health, gender or background. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or inappropriate behaviour in our venue.
Our venue is accessible to everyone
All our performance spaces are located on street level, and wheelchair spaces are available in the front rows of our auditoriums. Hearing loops are also available for visitors using hearing aids. Accessibility is an important part of our communications as well. We communicate primarily in Finnish and English and continue to develop our multilingual communications.
Environmental responsibility is part of everything we do
Dance House Helsinki is easy to reach by sustainable means, as we are located in a hub for public transport, walking and cycling. We strive to minimise our environmental impact through responsible practices and recycling. We use energy-efficient LED lighting, and the electricity we use is generated from renewable energy sources. We continuously develop our environmental practices through the EcoCompass environmental management system.
The House of All Dance
We value diversity and continuously develop our operations based on the feedback we receive. Our goal is for everyone to feel that Dance House Helsinki is a place where they belong.
We expect everyone working in and visiting Dance House Helsinki to follow these principles of responsibility.
