About the work
What do we trust in – and what happens when that trust is shaken?
TRUST examines life in a world where people build their relationships and identities amidst uncertainty, economic crises, and global upheavals.
The work highlights themes of trust in relation to economic systems, technology, loved ones, and ourselves, and asks how we can truly trust anything today.
TRUST is a fast-paced dance theater piece in which the movements, speech, and music of five performers and a musician intertwine into a single scenic tapestry.
TRUST offers the viewer the opportunity to experience the work not only intellectually but also through physical sensations: what do the movements, lines, and images evoke in the body, and what kinds of feelings, memories, and questions do they raise?
Based on the preview, the performers’ movements and the punchy text have been synchronized in an almost hypnotic way.

TRUST is based on a play written in 2008 by German playwright and director Falk Richter, which was created in the midst of the financial crisis. Richter’s theater is not content with depicting the private sphere, but brings society to the stage.
When corrupt bankers were allowed to continue, it undermined confidence in the entire political system. I explored (in Trust) how that atmosphere was also reflected in interpersonal relationships.

A visual ORGASM! Every sound and every single song was just perfection. There was so much to observe, I love it!
Contemporary, captivating, visually impressive… catchy music, interesting themes.
As a millennial and a child of the recession, living through the rush years, it really resonated with me! The body language was compelling… The group’s unison recitations were like modern prayers and capitalism as a religion.
