Introduction
The Finnish-Lithuanian co-production SUPERTHING by Tanssiteatteri Minimi and Šeiko Dance Company is a work choreographed by Annamari Keskinen and Ryan Mason (Thar Be Dragons).
SUPERTHING invites the audience into a landscape where reality and imagination intertwine. An evocative choreography, a layered soundscape and ever-transforming visual worlds create a reality of their own on stage, where longing and hope exist side by side.

Biographies
Annamari Keskinen
Annamari Keskinen is a Finnish performer and choreographer who has worked extensively and internationally in the field of dance for the past 20 years. Her choreographies lead audiences through liminal and dreamlike landscapes. As a director and teacher, Annamari draws on her extensive performance experience to guide participants through multi-layered research and performance processes.
Ryan Mason
Ryan Mason is an American choreographer, performer and teacher with more than 15 years of international experience. Ryan began his professional career in New York as a member of the José Limón Dance Company and eventually moved to Europe, where he performed under the direction of choreographer Johannes Wieland and many others. His work is strongly rooted in intuition and is often characterised by a physical dialogue with objects and an openness to chance.
Agnija Šeiko
Award-winning Lithuanian contemporary dance choreographer Agnija Šeiko is known in Europe and internationally for her multidisciplinary approach, unique aesthetic, exploration of sensitive social themes and use of a wide range of forms of expression. She has created more than 30 choreographic works, which have been presented at numerous dance festivals and on stages both in Lithuania and abroad.
Erika Vizbaraite
Erika Vizbaraitė is an artist, choreographer and researcher. She is a doctoral researcher whose dissertation research, Performative Apnea, explores liminal spaces in the arts. Her recent works include Transparent, Apnea, MA 108 and Russian Roulette, as well as the films Bardo and To Retain, among other works. She has created more than ten contemporary dance works, installations and dance films, and has choreographed musicals, operas and drama theatre productions. In 2021, she received the Golden Stage Cross award for Apnea, and in 2020 she received an award for Best Choreography.
Mantas Stabacinskas
Mantas Stabačinskas is a Lithuanian dancer and choreographer working across contemporary dance, theatre and interdisciplinary artistic practices. His work has been shaped by long-term collaborations with artists and directors in Lithuania and abroad, as well as an ongoing interest in the body, movement and different ways of encountering performance. His artistic work and contribution to Lithuanian culture have been recognised with significant national awards.
Giedre Kirkile
Giedrė Kirkilė is a renowned Lithuanian dance artist and pedagogue. She has twice been recognised by the Contemporary Dance Association for the Most Memorable Dance Role of the Year for her artistic work.
Since 2014, Giedrė has worked as an Associate Professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she teaches and develops the dance study programme. In 2025, she became Head of the Department of Dance and Movement. For her contribution to the development of the Lithuanian contemporary dance field, she was awarded a medal of honour by the Ministry of Culture.
Andrius Katinas
Andrius Katinas is a dance artist based in Finland. He studied theatre arts at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and later completed his dance studies at the Theatre Academy of Finland. Since 1999, he has participated in more than 40 works as a performer, choreographer and collaborator.
His artistic practice focuses on dance and the poetics of its communication, which unfolds through evolving forms of collaboration and a continuous search for new approaches and perspectives in dance-making. His work is characterised by an ongoing dialogue between artistic processes and personal experience. He pays attention to subtle changes in everyday life and explores what he describes as the “silent rhetoric” of the artist’s social position.
From 2018 to 2025, he served as Head of the Department of Dance and Movement at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and since 2024 he has worked as a curator of the dance programme at the Old Theatre of Vilnius.
Taneli Törmä
Taneli Törmä is an award-winning Finnish dancer and choreographer. He lived abroad in Italy, Denmark and Germany from 2007 to 2024, first working as an employed dancer with various repertory companies and later as a freelance artist. From 2011 to 2024, he focused on his own dance productions under the name LOCATION X. LOCATION X's international dance projects have been presented and realised in more than 20 countries. In 2024, Taneli moved back to Finland and began working full-time as the Artistic Director of Tanssiteatteri Minimi in Kuopio.
Timo Tikka
Timo Tikka is a Helsinki-based sound designer working in the performing arts, particularly in contemporary dance, theatre and immersive installations. He emphasises holistic dramaturgical work and an in-depth exploration of the nature of sound as part of creative processes. At the core of Tikka’s artistic practice are the experiential qualities of sound and a phenomenological approach, as well as an exploration of the tension between the material-acoustic world and the immateriality of sound. Originally trained as a marine biologist, Tikka seeks to cultivate a genuine sense of wonder and deep engagement with different phenomena in his creative work.
